Andrew James 20 Months

Andrew is 20 months old now…I can’t hardly believe it! He spends his time chasing the cat, playing ball, throwing the ball at the cat, screaming, talking, and just overall being an awesome little boy! And man…do I mean “boy”! He fits every profile…he’s rough, tumbles, is loud, loves sports, and wrestles with Daddy!
And he is talking in “toddler sentences” including:
- “No No Kitty Ball Throw” (Don’t throw the ball (insert any object – cup, car, book, etc) at the kitty – told to him MULTIPLE times a day!)
- “More Milk Mommy”
- “Bye-Bye Abbooo Eeya” (Bye Bye Love you See ya! – he says to everything including inanimate objects and the moon on a nightly basis!!)
- “Move Mommy It Here” (He is becoming bossy and tells you where to sit now)
- Anything that has a lid is called a “door”. So if you don’t close the lid on the ketchup – screams and cries “Door Door Etchup”. He got a drum from Cristyn and the lid opens where all the drum sticks, shakers, etc are in and he begs for the “Door Off” and “Door On”.

Along with toddler sentences comes toddler tantrums! And my does he throw a mighty good tantrum! He has perfected his “pouting face” – can you tell?! We are struggling with getting him not to push or shove when he isn’t getting his way. Time out works sometimes, but he is still young to understand everything and why the world doesn’t always go just the way you want it too!
I’m definitely not ready to be bundling him up in winter coats, gloves, hats, etc. I love just getting up and going out the door with out thinking about the cold! But fall seems to be on the out and the cold weather is here. I guess I gotta get used to that!
I love his pouting face!!! (Although I am sure it is no fun when he is pouting).

I prefer the happy one, but the pouting one will do when I tell you “no”, “don’t hit”, “stop running around”, “don’t press the water on the refrigerator door”…and so on. Aunt “Indy”, “Uncle” and Hannah love you!
