Our 2009 Christmas Picture with Santa
As you can tell…I don’t have a picture to post! That is because Andrew is now terribly terrified of Santa at the moment. West took Andrew up to church the other night for a trial run for Andrew to meet Santa and get a picture with him. We still planned to take him to the mall to have his picture taken with Santa, but we figured this would be a good introduction. As the story goes, West said they came out of the bathroom after changing a diaper and Andrew’s first glance at Santa was coming out of a dark room in a dark hallway. Daddy said, “Look Andrew, It’s Santa!” and Andrew goes “Ho Ho Ho!” and turns to see as the Santa bellows “Ho Ho Ho!” and scares the crap out of Andrew! From that point forward, Andrew screamed bloody murder when he was near Santa and clung to Daddy and Aunt Cindy like there was no tomorrow! The rest of the night he kept telling Daddy, “No Santa! No Santa!” and when I saw him yesterday morning I asked him if had seen Santa last night, and he says clearly “Mommy, No more Santa please! Please Mommy!” Well…what can you say to that….? We might give it another go around at the mall today or next week, but honestly, I don’t think his idea of Santa is going to change this year! We might have to settle for a funny story instead of a picture with Santa for this year!

Poor little guy! He was pretty terrified. Hannah is still talking about “Andrew NO Santa!” Funny how she can already point out the obvious and ignore the fact that she wasn’t much better when it came to sitting with Santa.
