Things Andrew Says…

Andrew has never had a problem talking…Acutally I can’t get him to stop talking, especially when it comes to nap time and eating! Anyway – he is starting to say some hilarious things and I just had to share them and write them down! Here goes:
- Last night – he climbs into our desk chair in our office and looks at me and says “Andrew need to check ‘me-mail’ Mommy!” I guess we check out ‘me-mail’ too often!!
- We’re trying to get him to say “No Thank You” when he doesn’t want something instead of screaming “No ___ (insert name) No!!!” So now he screams “NO THANK YOU MOMMY! NO THANK YOU!!”
- I said under my breath the other day that he was a “Monkey’s Uncle” because he did something silly. Now he goes around calling Uncle Nate a “Monkey’s Uncle”
- He plays a game called “Mommy Be Sad” and I’m supposed to pretend to be crying. He comes running up and gives me a big sqeeze hug and says “Play Baby Bus Mommy! Feel Better!” (I guess since playing with his baby bus makes hims feel better – it obviously will make Mommy feel better too!)
- We sing “Happy Birthday” to just about everyone and everything you can find. Happy Birthday is his favorite song to sing now. “Happy Birthday to ____” (insert anything – TV characters, innanimate objects, food, bugs, etc) but just one phrase of it – we don’t sing the whole song. You only get one chance!
- “Now!” This is his new word that he picked up yesterday. Everything is “Now!” And he uses it in the right context unfortunately, but has no patience or tolerance yet! His favorite thing is when he is going to bed and is laying in there talking, we’ll go in and he will say to either parent “Mommy, go get Daddy now please!” or visa versa! Or when were playing “Come on Mommy! Play Now! Run Mommy!” Like I said…no patience what-so-ever!

Talking is definitely a skill Andrew is excelling in. It is fun listening to him tell his stories…he is usually so serious about what he wants to say.
